Tips For Marijuana Cloning

When deciding to clone a special marijuana plant there are some tips that can make the process go smoother and make the plants grow roots and become healthy when followed. The first of these is to make sure that the plant cuttings are taken from is healthy, a healthy plant will mean a healthy clone that will be capable of growing to maturity.

The soil pH level is extremely important in planting clones of instead of the usual 6 to 7% acidity level these cuttings will need a pH level of 4 1/2 to 5 %. To help lowering the acidy level and the nitrogen has to be leached from the plant, doing this no fertilizer should be used on the plant that the cutting will be taken from. The way this is done is to water the mature plant with plain distilled water and no fertilizer or plant food for about three days before taking the cuttings. If the nitrogen is not leached out of the mature plant it can cause a delay in the rooting of the cuttings.

To get the pH level correct prior to taking the cuttings, about 24 hours in advance the soil needs to be presoaked and pH testing should be done until the acidity level is between the 41/2and 5% level. Adjusting the plant food in the water will enable the soil to test properly with the right pH level to plant the clones.
