Keeping The Outdoor Ganja Crop Safe From Pests

When growing an outdoor crop of ganja outdoors it is vulnerable to pests, this means both animal and human. If the authorities find the ganja, it will be destroyed, which means it needs to be well hidden from view and yet be accessible for the person growing it.

There are also several animal types of pests that can destroy the ganja plants when they are planted outside, deer, chipmunks, rodents and other small animals can eat the plants. The only way to battle these pests is to fence the crop area in with a temporary fencing like chicken wire. This can be done cheaply using chicken wire and using metal posts and it will keep out the animals that are attracted to greenery.

Bugs can also be a problem and there are several ways to deal with them, when the seedlings are planted there are bugs in the ground that can kill them within a day. One of these is the cutworm; this bug attacks the tender seedling at the base of the stem and can cut the plant off. To battle them one of the easiest ways is to either place aluminum foil around the stem making certain it reaches the ground. Another way to protect the stem is to use steel wool; this steel wool is not the type that is used in the kitchen that contains soap. This is purchased in hardware stores and comes in a large roll; placed around the stem it will keep these types of bugs from reaching the stems.
