Make Your Own Soil for Marijuana Plants

You don’t have to go purchase actual soil for your marijuana plants at a store if you don’t want to. If you would prefer to make the soil on your own then you can do that. There are some recipes that you can use to grow your own soil.

Recipe
All you have to do is mix 2 parts of moss together with 1 part of sand and 1 part of pearlite (or sponge rock) for every 4 gallons of soil you are making. Once the soil is made you will have to check the pH by using a soil test kit or you could also use litmus paper if it’s more convenient to use. You can easily purchase a soil test kit at many different plant stores across your city. If the test kit reads that the pH level is not high enough for you to plant the marijuana plants healthily and expect good results then you will have to increase it. All you have to do is add half a pound of lime for every cubic foot of soil and this will increase the pH level by a single point.

You can also make your own soil for marijuana plants from dirt which you dug from your yard then you can but the process is a lot more complicated and is not the greatest option. You are best to just buy the soil instead of making it yourself but some people like to do all of the work instead and save a few bucks if it is possible.
