Cannabis Helpful Tips
The more experience a grower gets the more tricks they learn and it is also beneficial for the inexperienced grower to learn, all that they can in order to have the best first crop possible.
- The seeds are something that the grower needs to choose carefully, they should be seeds that will mature in the amount of time for the outdoor growers planting season. The indoor grower will want a seed that has a high yield as the amount of plants that are able to be in the outdoor garden are usually far less. This means the grower needs to get the highest amount of yield that is possible for them to have from their mature cannabis plants.
- The growing medium is one of the first things a grower will need be concerned with, this can be prepared while the seeds are germinating. The soil mixture that is mixed with sand, pearlite or sponge rock and that will have fertilizer mixed in must be mixed thoroughly, so that there are no hot spots where it is not mixed. This can cause toxins in the plants from the fertilizer.
- The right amount of light is needed for the indoor pot plants and the more light they receive the better the plants will grow. The standard that experienced growers go by is that for 400 watts of light it will be able to give the proper amount of light to between 5 and 10 plants, 600 watt bulbs can provide light for between 7 and 14 plants. The 1,000 watt bulb is able to provide light for as many as 15 to 20 cannabis plants.
- Water Temperature is another thing that will need to be watched, when water from the tap is used it should be set in containers for at least 24 hours, this allows for the chlorine to dissipate. The water while it should not be hot should be at room temperature so that it will not shock the plants when they are watered.
- Checking the pH level of the cannabis plants is extremely important and is one of the things that should be done often. The easiest way for growers to do this is with a litmus pH testing kit that is made for indoor plants. These can be found at gardening stores and can let the grower know when the soil acidity level is higher or lower than what it should be for the cannabis plants, which is between 6.5 and 7.0.
